Building four guidelines for reviewing promotional material showed that this review needs its own work instruction, separate from product labeling review. The regulatory triggers, marketing claims, disposal symbols, battery regulations, are different and easy to miss if reviewers use the wrong checklist.
Promotional material for battery-powered devices carries its own set of regulatory triggers, WEEE disposal symbols and battery regulation requirements, that a standard product labeling checklist doesn't cover. Reviewers needed a dedicated work instruction and flowchart.
Mapped each promotional material type against its applicable regulation (marketing claims, WEEE/battery disposal symbols), then built a checklist/flowchart reviewers could apply consistently.
